Persepolis, Esteqlal invited to `Friendship Party'

IRNA - As the eagerly-awaited derby between Persepolis and Esteqlal is approaching, the two teams of capital were invited by Tehran's Physical Education Department to attend a ceremony entitled `Friendship Party'.
The party is to be held at 05:00 pm on Sunday, January 5, in Olympic Hotel of Azadi Sports Complex, 10 km west of Tehran. In addition to the members of the two popular teams, the veteran reds and blues are to take part in the ceremony. The department sponsors the celebration each year before Persepolis-Esteqlal match.
The first-leg reds-blues match of the 11th week of second Iran Pro League is played on the pitch of Yadegar-e Imam, Tabriz, at 02:00 pm on Friday, January 10.
Having 20 points, Persepolis is at the second place and the sixth-placed Esteqlal has collected 15 points.
